Scents of provence

Provence is undoubtedly well known for its breath-taking landscapes but also for its aromas and scents. In this package, we invite you to discover plants, aromatherapy, and perfumery in an exceptional environment.  

During your stay you will learn the process of transforming plants into essential oils and the basics of aromatherapy.  You will also discover how essential oils are used in perfumes, and at the end of the course you will be able to create your own scent.

DAY 1: Transfer from Marseille Airport to Forcalquier

Forcalquier is a typical Provencal town surrounded by the attractive Provencal landscapes of lavender and olive trees. With a history dating back to Roman times when it stood on the trade route between Italy and Spain.

HIGHLIGHTS:

DAY - 2 : Forcalquier - Medicinal plants workshop UESS

The “Covent Des Cordeliers” is a Monastery Founded in the 13th century, which was badly damaged during the Wars of Religion and the Revolution. Sold as national properties and converted into a farm, the medieval buildings have been restored. Workshop on medicinal plants Participants will learn how to make an herbarium and create their own herbal tea

Free evening in Forcalquier

DAY 3: Forcalquier - Aromatherapy workshop UESS

Aromatherapy workshop: participants will learn about: distillation, essential oils properties, Local production (different types of lavender oils, immortelle, thyme, rosemary)

Lunch in a local restaurant

Visit of the OCCITANE’S factory, museum, and garden

Dinner in Forcalquier

DAY 4 & 5: GRASSE - WORLD'S CAPITAL OF PERFUME

2- Day Perfumery course with a professional perfumer

Learn how to make your own scent

Sharpen your sense of smell and use professional techniques to help you memorize and describe aromas.

Learn about fragrant plants in an exceptional setting

DAY 6: GRÉOUX - LES - BAINS

Roman Baths and Spa

A day to relax and pamper yourself in a famous health resort:  Gréoux – les – Bains, the third greatest hot springs health resort in FRANCE is a typical Provencal village surrounded by lavender fields. The roman baths attract people from all over the world thanks to the quality of care and services.
